Hi, I’m Clara! I’m 24 and I’ve lived in Portland, Oregon pretty much my whole life — minus two years I spent bouncing around Seattle for a retail job that genuinely drained the soul out of me. We don’t talk about that era.
So here’s the embarrassing origin story: I got into gaming because of my ex. He was obsessed with survival games and would play for hours while I sat there watching and silently judging his choices, ngl. Then we broke up, and one sleepless night I booted up an old crafting game he’d left behind. That was it. Game over for me. I got completely hooked on building little bases and hoarding resources like my life depended on it. Whether that’s a healthy coping mechanism is still very much up for debate, lol.
These days survival games are my whole thing — Valheim is my comfort zone, and I keep crawling back to building elaborate setups in games like that even when I should probably be sleeping. It’s how I shut my brain off after a long day. There’s something weirdly meditative about gathering wood and worrying about nothing else.
Fun fact: I keep a notebook right next to my keyboard where I sketch out base layouts before I build them. My handwriting is genuinely terrible and only I can read it, but it works! My cat has decided this notebook is her throne, so half my plans now have paw prints on them.
I’m single right now and “focusing on me,” whatever that’s supposed to mean. Mostly it means more game time. For the folks who want the messier, behind-the-scenes side of all this — the unfiltered late-night rambles and stuff I don’t post anywhere else — I keep a little corner just for you.
Anyway, glad you’re here. Grab a snack and stay a while. 🛠️
